Highgrove is located on Forest and Grove Street in Downtown Stamford.[2]
Because of difficulties presented by bedrock, there will be almost no basement. Consequently, the garage is to be built above ground and attached to the building.[3]
In September 2009, prior to the completion of the Highgrove, its developer was sued by Florida's Attorney General for its failure to complete another condominium project in Palm Beach, Florida.[4]
A dispute over the number of apartments to be allocated for lower income local residents (below 50% of the area's median income) is in the Supreme Court. In a corrigendum published subsequently an attorney for the developer clarified that the company might make a cash payment in lieu of building any units at all.[5]
